It began with two people swiping right… But one had to be a bit more patient than the other!

We were coming out of the Covid lockdown when we first swiped. Hayden took liking to a sporty primary school teacher, Miss Williams and decided to message her straight away. However he had to wait, and wait and wait, until he nearly gave up, before finally, three weeks later, Kelly finally replied.

Kelly says it was because she wasn’t always active on the app, but Hayden believed it was a sign of things to come.

He’s forever waited for her ever since!

Our first few dates were outdoors, because of the Covid restrictions. Hayden first introduced Kelly to the sights of Hinckley, taking her on a mammoth walk around the town.

Kelly then returned the favour a week later, suggesting a 5 mile hike around Draycote Water. What neither of us had planned, however, was a heavy downpour, causing us to shelter under the smallest tree ever! We still laugh about it to this day.

We spend a lot of time together outdoors, be it playing sports or walking. Our best memories are city breaks for weekends away. The least said about Budapest the better…
